Temples faz um som saudosista que remete diretamente aos Beatles da era Revolver. Como ontem esqueci de postar, segue um segundo vídeo hoje, Taxman dos Beatles, música que abre justamente o disco Revolver, numa versão ao vivo cantada por George Harrison, com Eric Clapton na guitarra.

Claro que eu respondo ao chamado dos Beatles. Depois de 4 anos, retorno às atividades deste blog já meio esquecido por mim, retorno para esse pequeno hobby de auto-indulgência de postar, sem maiores pretensões, um vídeo por dia de músicas que eu gosto, criando assim, um pequeno quadro, embora parcial, dos meus gostos pessoais em relação à música. Para o retorno, mantendo a tradição, já que iniciei com os Beatles e dei uma pausa também com os Beatles, volto a eles, sempre presentes nas minhas caixinhas de som. No vídeo o último show ao vivo, uma apresentação espontânea no topo do prédio da Apple Records que deixou os transeuntes um tanto quanto atônitos.

Com esse post venho anunciar que o blog vai ficar em "stand by", já que intensifiquei os estudos pra os concursos, então estou sem tempo de ouvir muita música, e de pesquisar vídeos legais. Aos meus amigos que estão no orkut, vou estar sempre adicionando uns vídeos por lá, quando der, apesar de saber que não é a mesma coisa do blog. Esse é um espaço que eu gosto bastante, por isso, quando o ritmo dos estudos diminuir (leia-se, quando eu passar no concurso que quero), eu volto a posta diariamente, ou pelo menos semanalmente a depender do ritmo de trabalho que terei. Aos poucos que acompanham o blog, meus sinceros agradecimentos pelas visitas. Agora, concetração total nos estudos, e como se preparar pra um concurso mais parece com uma longa estrada e sinuosa estrada, nada mais apropriado do que o último vídeo dessa fase do blog ser The Long and Winding Road. The Beatles é o começo e o fim. Abraço meus amigos e amigas.

Um ano de blog e mais um dia na vida

Há exatamente um ano dei início a este despretensioso blog musical, com uma idéia simples: um vídeo por dia de músicas que eu curto. O primeiro post foi justamente A Day in the Life dos Beatles, uma das minhas músicas favoritas. Então nada mais apropriado do que repetir a dose, mas dessa vez com uma versão magnífica de Neil Young, com participação do próprio Sir Paul. Parabéns ao blog, que venham outros anos, e que a música boa nunca pare de tocar.

Em 1967 os Beatles lançaram uma das obras mais espetaculares da música pop: Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, meu álbum favorito dos Fab Four, quiçá meu álbum favorito de todos.
Em 1969 houve um dos festivais mais famosos de rock: Woodstock, que dispensa apresentações. Nele, Joe Cocker fez uma apresentação antológica que fez sua carreira decolar, principalmente por conta da versão explosiva de A Little Help From My Friends (música do álbum dos Beatles citado acima, que ele gravou em 1968).
